He also introduced new design paradigms and processes that helped other aspiring engineers. To Dado, the sense of fulfillment and excitement is immeasurable when he sees people using his designs and innovations.

All these achievements in the global computer industry have not gone unnoticed. His growing up years were spent in sleepy Mabalacat, Iguig, Cagayan Valley, a rural village with no running water and electricity. His father was a farmer, and his mother, a housewife. At age 12, he left the place and went to Tuguegarao for high school in Ateneo.
Gone Maggie Gone
After gaining flying hours, he joined Boeing, where he took a graduate study program at the University of Washington and met his wife before moving on to Stanford. From there, his climb to prominence in the technology universe has become unstoppable.
Dado has parlayed his technopreneurship into high value venture capitalism, building technology-driven companies that allow people to continue creating products that can better their best. His firm, Tallwood VC, is a success case study. It has weathered some of the fiercest storms in Silicon Valley during the dot. As an overseas Filipino who made laudable international imprints, Dado is thankful for what he has become, and has started to look back to see what he can do for the country.

He is passionate about giving back. Maybe via causes he cares most about, like science and engineering education. His belief is that the technology education process in the Philippines is not deep enough to enable Filipino engineers to be more creative, to think out of the box. The Filipino brain, he said, must be fed with the best way to learn. And this will entail training and hiring the best teachers who can make the Filipinos compete toe to toe with Japan, Korea and the US. Together with this technology education advocacy, Dado has also put up a foundation that set up a computer center in the little barrio in Cagayan Valley where he is from.
The center aims to expose students to computers, make them familiar with these hardwares, and have a better appreciation of what technology can do.
